Is there a better way of celebrating an MLB division title but by jumping in the other team’s pool? The Los Angeles Dodgers did just that Thursday after clinching the NL West crown over the Arizona Diamondbacks. After celebrating with champagne in the clubhouse and some worm dancing from Yasiel Puig (GIF below), several of the Dodgers decided to go back on the field and into the pool located in center field. The Diamondbacks requested on Wednesday that the Dodgers not celebrate on Chase Field, and when they did, they didn’t appreciate it. Willie Bloomquist went so far as calling it “classless”. #DBacks not happy with Dodgers celebrating in Chase Field pool, Willie Bloomquist called it "classless and disrespectful." — Tyler Emerick (@TylerEmerick) September 19, 2013 Bloomquist: "I would expect them to act with a little more class than they did. I doubt the New York Yankees would do something like that." — Tyler Emerick (@TylerEmerick) September 19, 2013 Bloomquist: "They clinched the division this year so if that’s how they’re going to act and be classless, that’s their clubhouse." — Tyler Emerick (@TylerEmerick) September 19, 2013

Yasiel Puig Does The Worm in Dance-Off During Celebration of Dodgers Clinching Playoff Berth (GIF)

Dodgers rookie outfielder Yasiel Puig is pretty good at everything he does. His home runs are moonshots, his outfield assists are lasers, and after video of the Dodgers’ postgame celebrations surfaced, it’s also evident he’s very good at crunches. Even more important, though, are his dance moves. Before he and his teammates dove into the pool at Chase Field, Puig and a few...

Arizona Reporter Jokes About Yasiel Puig’s Defection From Cuba After Dodgers Swim in Diamondbacks’ Pool

Back away from the Twitter machine, slowly, and don’t make any sudden moves, Bob Young. Young, a columnist for The Arizona Republic, added a whole new layer to the Dodgers-Diamondbacks dispute with a tweet that was probably intended as a joke but just came out as really offensive. The Diamondbacks are grouchy because they asked the Dodgers not to celebrate clinching the National...

Arizona reporter makes ridiculous Yasiel Puig joke after PoolGate

Arizona media people are really, really angry about the Dodgers celebrating in the Diamondbacks' pool after clinching the NL West on Friday. In fact, they're so angry that some of them are making cracks about Yasiel Puig's defection from Cuba! Case in point: Bob Young of No truth to rumor #Dodgers Yasiel Puig needed four attempts to cross #DBacks...

Yasiel Puig Does the Worm After Dodgers Clinch the Division (Video)

I love the way Puig’s teammates aren’t impressed at all.

Yasiel Puig does whatever this is on the ground as a confused Steve Lyons looks on

Dodgers Celebrate Playoff Birth In Diamondback’s Outfield Pool

The Diamondbacks asked the Dodgers nicely that if they clinched the National League West in Arizona to not celebrate on the field. The Dodgers apparently listened. No one said anything about celebrating in the Chase Field outfield pool though! The Diamondbacks were apparently none too pleased with the celebration. #DBacks not happy with Dodgers celebrating in Chase Field pool,...

Dodgers Jump Into Pool at Chase Field in Arizona After Clinching NL West (Video)

The Los Angeles Dodgers were the first team to clinch a postseason berth on Thursday, meaning they were also the first to celebrate. Typically, teams celebrate with champagne showers in the locker room and maybe a victory lap around the field if the team is at home. Following a 7-6 victory over the Diamondbacks, though, the Dodgers took their celebration a bit further by running...

Dodgers Celebrate Division Title By Jumping in Arizona's Pool

No, really, this happened...and the Arizona Diamondbacks are less than thrilled about it. The "it" we refer to is the reaction of several Los Angeles Dodgers after their 7-6 wins over the Diamondbacks at Chase Field. The reaction--jumping in the swimming pool just over the outfield wall. Yes, the Dodgers should be celebrating. After a horrible start to the season...

Injury Roll Call: Hanley & Kemp return, Puig injury worry, Billingsley feels like new

Hanley Ramirez has resumed baseball activites. The shortstop hit off a tee and did fielding exercises on Monday for the first time since he last played Thursday. He was back in the starting lineup yesterday and looked like his normal self, going 1-2 with 3 BB. His health will be instrumental in how far the Dodgers go in the postseason. —– Matt Kemp was activated from the DL on...

Red Sox and Dodgers clinch playoff berths

When the 2013 MLB regular season is over and done there will be many that will sit back and think,”man, what a long, strange trip it has been.” Last season, the Boston Red Sox where in the AL East cellar. For much of this season, the Los Angeles Dodgers were in the NL West cellar. After wins Thursday night, both teams

Poolgate has officially taken on a mind of its own

Yesterday, I brought you the initial reaction to Poolgate, the controversy that boils down to "get off my lawn!" As yesterday went on, the reaction quickly spiraled out of control thanks to the Arizona media. The worst however, may belong to Dan Bickley of Not to paint with broad strokes, but the Dodgers are idiots. Yasiel Puig thought it OK to blow...

Dodgers Rumors: Los Angeles expected to move one of their "big four" outfielders

The Dodgers have a plethora of outfielders. They have Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig, Andre Ethier and Carl Crawford. They have one problem. They can't play all of them at the same time. Because of that, don't be surprised if they look into trading one of those four to upgrade other positions. Rival executives expect the Dodgers to move "at least" one of their elite...
