Mike Napoli was the subject of Fox reporter Aren Andrew’s post game interview after his solo home run on Justin Verlander sealed the Red Sox’s victory over the Tigers. But Erin had a little difficulty pronouncing pitcher Verlander’s name, and now the question is was she really thinking about the Biebs?
Sounds like she almost said Bieber to me, but of course she denied it.
My lord..people are unreal RT @NDisch: “@pvdj: @ErinAndrews did you almost say Justin Bieber instead of Verlander in post game interview?”

If u really think I have Bieber on my mind, then u are soooooo right #sarcasm

You mean to tell me Erin wasn’t thinking about this guy?
BEST OF MAXIM
AROUND THE WEB
Erin Andrews can laugh and laugh with the best of them. Especially if Joe Leyland smokes in the dugout during a blackout.
Do you know what it's like to laugh like that? [TBL]
Later, EA may or may not have spotted Justin Bieber.

The last time Justin Verlander took the mound, his team's season was on the line.
The stakes won't be quite that high for his next start, but the Detroit Tigers could certainly use another brilliant performance from their star right-hander after blowing a chance to take control of the AL championship series.
Detroit wasted a five-run lead Sunday night in Game 2, allowing...
Coming into this series, the FOX announcers made sure we knew one thing: THAT JUSTIN VERLANDER IS AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE OF NATURE.
Seriously. You DO NOT WANT TO FACE THIS GUY IN THE ALCS. AND THE TIGERS ARE GOING TO THROW HIM AT YOU TWICE! TWICE!
Even as the Sox turned in some late night fireworks on Sunday to turn the tide of game two, all we heard about was VERLANDER WAITING IN...
After calling Jim Leyland “Joe” earlier in the game, Erin Andrews nearly had another embarrassing name screwup in a postgame interview with Mike Napoli. When asking Napoli, who homered for the game’s only run, about his success against Verlander, Andrews had to stop herself from channeling her inner-Belieber at the last second.
The post Erin Andrews nearly refers to Justin...
Shane Victorino has been lauded for making hay from the batter’s box ever since he started hitting exclusively right-handed. But that righty stance — or just the way Victorino stands in at all — has some people thinking that’s also why Victorino has been hit by pitches five times this postseason and an American League-leading 18 times this year (11 of which came in the 38...
Justin Verlander is accusing Shane Victorino of throwing himself in front of fast balls and now Torii Hunter is whining too. Is this a case of SLS (Sore Loser Syndrome)? If you remember (of course you do), Hunter flipped over the bullpen wall trying to catch David Ortiz's eighth-inning, game-tying grand slam. It was a pretty hard spill, but he got up OK. Well, it looks like Hunter...
DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have done the math.
They have home-field advantage in a best-of-five series for the American League pennant, and they have Justin Verlander, Anibal Sanchez and Max Scherzer pitching in four of the five games. Those are the starters who just set a major-league record by taking no-hitters into the sixth inning of three straight postseason games.
October baseball hit a fever pitch at Fenway Park Sunday night when David Ortiz continued his magical postseason career with a game-tying eighth inning grand slam and Jarrod Saltalamacchia ended the game with a walk-off single.
Now, the ALCS is tied 1-1 as the series shifts to Detroit for the next three games, where the Tigers took 3-of-4 from...
If you have followed the American League Championship Series, there is no doubt you have seen Shane Victorino crowd the plate. Shane Victorino has been hit 5 times by pitches this off-season, a single-season playoff record. Victorino, a switch hitter has been hitting from the right due to injuries, which has caused him to be […]
The Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers have been locked in a pitching duel for most of Tuesday’s Game 3 of the ALCS, with starting pitchers John Lackey and Justin Verlander combining for zero runs allowed through six innings.
The deadlock was broken in the top of the seventh inning when Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli hit a Verlander fast ball deep to left field and into one of...
There were two games yesterday, and the results of both were pretty telling. The Red Sox beat the Tigers 1-0, but Justin Verlander made just one mistake on the hill for Detroit. The Cardinals beat the Dodgers 4-2, and Ricky Nolasco really had just one bad inning. But hey, when your opponent isn't making mistakes, or is getting out of tough innings, one mistake or one bad inning...

With the ALCS tied 1-1, great starting pitching performances from the Tigers and dramatic comebacks from the Red Sox, the series got some added juice Monday courtesy of today's Game 3 starter Justin Verlander.
Shane Victorino led the league this season in hit-by-pitches with 18 during the regular season and he has been hit five times in seven...
