To leave or stay this is a tough question for underclassmen, but especially tough for freshmen. Eric Bledsoe and Daniel Orton had to make that choice and they have decided that they are ready for the NBA. I think both players would be better off another year in college. Let's first look at Eric Bledsoe.

Eric Bledsoe is a guy who does have a lot of talent, but he also has some things that he needs to work on as well. I liked his defensive effort he did give when he played. The areas though he needs to work on his playing within himself. Many times he would be out of control and turn the ball over. He also needs to work on his consistency as well. Bledsoe was a streaky shooter at Kentucky. When he was on he was good, but if he was off he was way off. Another year of seasoning at Kentucky would have been real beneficial to him.

Daniel Orton is an interesting prospect on many different fronts. Orton has a NBA frame, but right now the NBA is not where he should be. He has tossed his name into the NBA Draft, but another year at Kentucky would help him out a lot. First Orton was a backup behind DeMarcus Cousins which means we really were not able to see what he could do against the best centers. He has talent that is for sure, but I think going back to Kentucky would have been his best option. To be honest there are a lot of Daniel Orton's in the NBA sitting the bench. He needs a more well-rounded game if he wants to make an impact.
