Sports Business Radio:
Its no secret that local newspapers are dying off across the United States. Its a topic I've wanted to discuss on Sports Business Radio for quite some time. On this week's show I was joined by former Washington Times sports business reporter Tim Lemke. Tim is a terrific reporter who had the misfortune of losing his job recently when the Times cut the sports page from their paper.
Thousands of great reporters have lost jobs in the past year and over 100 newspapers shut down in 2009.
What does this all mean and what is the future of the local newspaper?
Tim and I tackled the topic on Sports Business Radio this week. Take a listen here.
