Found January 18, 2011 on Dodgers Rumors: Yardbarker Blogger Network

It seems the Dodgers finally got their man today. After a never ending search, that included practically every right-handed hitter on the open market, the Dodgers agreed to terms with Marcus Thames according to Ken Gurnick. Finally some word out of Dodgertown, and finally the search is over. Thames wasn't my first choice, but he is a suitable choice that should have no problem fulfilling his role in 2011. Thames' defense is inadequate pure and simple, he can not be the every day left fielder in 2011, because his bat doesn't consistently make up for his terrible defense. Marcus will have plenty to offer, plenty to put on the table to make himself a use ball player this season. Thames becomes a huge addition to our power deprived bench, platooned in the outfield Thames will have plenty of opportunities to prove himself in 2011. Before I give my full analysis on this deal, I've got to see these terms, haven't seen anything from a reliable source yet though.
