The Miami Dolphins head coach search is over as Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin has been announced. After leading the Packers' offense to an impressive record-breaking season and then the tragic loss of his son, Philbin will have to move forward.
Philbin coached from the box in the playoffs as he usually does. Only a week after the tragic loss the Packers had to focus on the New York Giants. Many players wanted to win the game for him and his family.
Michael Philbin, only 21 years old, was reported missing and his body was found in the Fox River in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, a day before his son went missing, Philbin interviewed with the Miami Dolphins for their head coaching vacancy.
While many suggested that Jeff Fisher was the number one choice, he eventually chose the St. Louis Rams instead.
