Talk about your lofty praise. Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman was flowing with compliments toward Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill. "Like all good quarterbacks he had great poise. Very confident in any system, west coast or not," Sherman told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "Any quarterback has to be confident in his own skin and believe in himself. "They always say a great quarterback makes those around him better. I thought (Brett) Favre did that. I think Aaron Rodgers (of the Green Bay Packers) does that. I think Tannehill does that as well." It should be noted that Sherman coached Tannehill at Texas A&M during the latter's transition from wide receiver to quarterback. Tannehill threw for 3,744 yards with 29 touchdowns and 15 interceptions during his senior season.

But since his consensus grade seems to be much higher, I...

The Dolphins are anticipated to make a run at Matt Flynn in free agency, but in reading offensive coordinator Mike Sherman's comments on Texas A&M's Ryan Tannehill, perhaps the team might be looking to draft a QB.

Mike Sherman compares Ryan Tannehill to Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers

Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman believes NFL prospect Ryan Tannehill is a winner and he should, since he coached him at Texas A&M this past season.  The really interesting thing about Tannehill, is that Sherman compares him to Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. “Like all good quarterbacks he had great poise.
