DAVIE, Fla. The Miami Dolphins pulled off the first stunning move of the NFL Draft on Thursday night, trading up for Oaklands third overall pick and selecting Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan. The Dolphins sent their first-round pick (12th overall) and a second-round pick (42nd overall) to the Raiders. Jordan, 6-foot-6, 248 pounds, is a former tight end considered to be an edge rusher from defensive end or outside linebacker. A two-time First-Team All-Pac-12 selection, Jordan had 10 tackles for loss and five sacks last season. Jordan aggravated a shoulder injury in Oregonas Fiesta Bowl victory against Kansas State. He reportedly had surgery to repair a torn labrum after the season and is expected to be ready for training camp in July.
