When the Raptors and the city of Toronto host the 2016 All-Star Game, they should have a different look. What that look is will be determined with input from several sources.
One of those sources is from rapper Drake, who has bought some kind of interest in the team. Frankly, Drake does things and I personally have no idea what it is is or what has made him famous. Excuse my ignorance. Apparently it was enough to give him some clout in redesigning the team colors. He is the "global ambassador" of the organization.
The colors many believe will be modeled after Drake's OVO Sound record label. The Raptors are hosting a Drake Night later this year. Again, if you can inform me why Drake is famous, it would be much appreciated.
What will this new Raptors logo look like? Everyone assumes it will be gold and black like OVO Sound's logo. Who knows what the actual colors will be. The redesign is still a few years away it appears.
Nothing is set in stone now. ...

Kyle Lowry’s time in Toronto might be numbered but that isn’t going to stop him from taking the time to appreciate the organizations fan base.Take New Years Eve as a prime example. After a 85-79 win in Chicago, Lowry spotted a Raptors fan standing next to the tunnel and decided to give the guy a souvenir. At least that’s what he intended to happen. Instead, just as Toronto’s...
Right now the big debate surrounding the Toronto Raptors is if Masai Ujiri needs to trade away any remaining assets – like Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan and Amir Johnson – in order for the Raptors to sink to the bottom of the NBA standings so that they have a strong chance of securing a marquee [...]
It’s funny how some adversity has helped the Toronto Raptors forge an identity as being a tough, scrappy team that is willing to fight for wins.
The Toronto Raptors have assigned guard Dwight Buycks to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League.
Buycks will continue to be included on the Raptors’ roster and will be placed on the team’s inactive list.
Buycks has appeared in 12 games for the Raptors this season recording 41 points, 10 assists, 20 rebounds and six steals in 121 minutes. He posted a season-best...
A few days ago, Yahoo Sports’ Marc J. Spears suggested the Toronto Raptors may opt to keep Kyle Lowry as they attempt to fight for the Atlantic Division crown.
However, with Greivis Vasquez, on the roster and Lowry set to become a free agent at season end, there isn’t much reason for Toronto to keep their feisty point guard if they can improve for the future.
After the Raptors victory in Chicago the other day, point guard Kyle Lowry attempted to give his sneakers to a Raptors fan. The thought was good, but the execution was off.
The body language of the Raptors fan is priceless.
It’s a dog eat dog world out there when trying to acquire NBA memorabilia.
Watch the clip from Tuesday night’s Toronto Raptors vs. Chicago Bulls game as Kyle Lowry tries to throw his shoes to a Raptors fan wearing an Amir Johnson jersey.
But some Bulls fan decides to intercept them:

TORONTO (AP) DeMar DeRozan scored 26 points, Kyle Lowry had 13 points and a season-high 14 assists and the Toronto Raptors extended their season-best winning streak to four games, beating the Indiana Pacers 95-82 on Wednesday night.
Terrence Ross scored 18 points and Jonas Valanciunas had 13 points and nine rebounds as the Raptors (15-15) snapped Indiana's five-game winning streak...
File this one under Danny Ainge performing his due diligence, with nothing likely to come of it.
The Celtics are one of six teams that have “inquired” about point guard Kyle Lowry in a potential trade with the Toronto Raptors, CBSSports reports. The Lakers, who have used five different starting point guards this season, are at the top of the list of interested teams, but the...
We see the highlights on Sportscenter, we see the clever marketing gimmicks, we see the guest spots in hip-hop videos, and we see the viral posterizations. One thing we rarely get to see is personal, behind-the-scenes video of a teams's reaction to a huge trade. This video is a documentary style show following the Toronto Raptors during a recent West Coast road trip. During the...
The Toronto Raptors have been playing excellent basketball since trading Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings in early December.
"We'll continue to evaluate the team," Masai Ujiri said on Friday. "I know it's what we keep saying but it's been a huge encouragement by the way the team has played."
The Raptors continue to explore trades despite having an...
Something wacky and unexpected has happened this basketball season.
A Raptors team expected to be in the hunt for Andrew Wiggins and the five or six other elite prospects in this summer’s super-draft both before the season and following the trade of Rudy Gay, instead has taken off like a rocket in the opposite direction.
Instead of the smoke and ashes of a blown-up roster and...
Well that's not the way the Pacers intended to start 2014 -- a pitiful 95-82 loss to the rising Toronto Raptors that got away from them in the second half, when they usually stamp their authority. Make no excuse, the Pacers absolutely deserved to lose this one as they were outhustled and out-energized by the Raps all night, reminiscent of when they lost their first and only home...
Life in the NBA: Gay, Acy and Gray are in a reflective mood after their lives were suddenly changed with a trade.
Often times we as fans witness the glitz and glamor that NBA players enjoy but rarely get a look at the harsh business aspect of professional sports. NBA TV Canada captured that cold reality with the Toronto Raptors during the RUDY GAY trade last month. In an episode...
Like in all things, evolution is a gradual process. It’s no different when it comes to the NBA.
Good teams don’t become great overnight, nor do bottom dwellers suddenly morph into quality squads.
Ever since Chris Bosh left and a rebuild began, Toronto has been unable to go from lottery bad to decent. Until now that is, as it appears the first notch of the ladder has finally...
