While yesterday was quite a prolific one for news stories regarding the Coyotes situation, there are still a number of interesting news articles from across North America;
Toronto Sun: Return of NHL to “Peg would be just Ducky: Hawerchuk. Doesn’t the picture of Hawerchuk’s face when his jersey was retired by the Yotes say it all. Gotta love #10. Won’t it be nice to see the #10 raised at the MTS Centre.
Arizona Republic: ‘Tea Party’ group dissatisfied with answers on Coyotes deal. Not sure what they were expecting. Transparency and Government, whoever heard of that. Although I bet they didn’t think Mayor Scruggs would take the “threat” of protest quite so far.
Winnipeg Free Press: Business anxious for the NHL. The revitalization of Winnipeg’s downtown will be quite the marvel if everything gets realized.
Winnipeg Free Press: Thomson is 17th richest in the world. I guess Mike Milbury, when he suggested Winnipeg would need a ‘sugar daddy’, wasn’t aware of David Thomson’s place on the Forbes list of billionaires.
