Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Asante Samuel could be throwing gas on the fire when it comes to rumors that the team will trade him this offseason.

A week after stating that he doesn’t know if he’s in the Eagles’ plans for the future, Samuel took to Twitter asking his followers, “If they trade me where would you guys like to see me go?”

Samuel has been the odd man out since Philadelphia acquired standout defensive backs Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Nnamdi Asomugha last summer. Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman didn’t deny claims that the team could be shopping one of their defensive backs, much like they did with quarterback Kevin Kolb when Michael Vick took over the starting job.

“Whenever you have a surplus at a particular position there are talks around the league, people call and your phone does ring,” Roseman told the News Journal, “and that’s happened in the past couple years by our quarterback situation.”

Samuel had three interceptions and 30 tackles this past season.
