How much do pre-draft visits and ultimate draft selections correlate for NFL teams overall, and specifically for the Philadelphia Eagles? Ray Didinger considers this very question, and his take is that the visits are generally a smokescreen. That’s not to say that there isn’t genuine interest in many of the prospects that the team brings in. C Jason Kelce was a player that Philadelphia brought in for a visit last year, for instance. But no team is going to place all of its cards on the tables for other teams in the league to see–and try to beat. All that said, Sheil Kapida does a great job of running down the latest visits for the Birds.
