Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports recently reported that there has been tension between Michael Vick and Eagles assistant coaches.
One of the internal issues was tension between Vick and the coaching staff, with the quarterback believing some of the assistant coaches were pushing to have him benched, according to a source familiar with the situation, Cole wrote.
Today, Vick denied the report.
Thats absolutely false. Coach [Andy Reid] and I never had that conversation, Vick said. Everything we talked about in that room was personal, was man-to-man, but that never came up.
So hes not concerned about that at all?
Not at all, Vick said. My coaches do a great job of getting me prepared, putting me in the best position possible. Ive got nothing but the utmost respect for them, and they know that, without me even having to say that on camera.
Reid offered a similar take.
I dont know where that would come from, he said. Thats not the case. Everybodys on board with Michael and they have been. Source: PhillyMag.com Attached Thumbnails

Pointing to the increasing levels of drama and dysfunction on the Philadelphia Eagles team, there have been more meetings than usual at the NovaCare these days. This week saw the first players-only meeting of the season as well as an unusually long meeting between Andy Reid and Mike Vick a few days following the quarterback’s comments acknowledging the possibility of being benched...
The Eagles have drastically underachieved this season, and Michael Vick recently said the Philadelphia media has made life harder on the team.
“Michael Vick was our quarterback, is our quarterback, and will be our quarterback.” Those were the words of Eagles coach Andy Reid Thursday as he addressed the media for the first time this week. Vick, who has been severely criticized over the past few weeks, called a player-only meeting at the Nova-Care complex today. It is unknown what was said in this meeting, but I’m...
Michael Vick told reporters that he plans on getting “back to being the old Michael Vick.“
“I’ve got to play the game and leave it all out on the field and play aggressive and shoot it and run the ball when I feel there is a need to,” said Vick, via Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly. “If I get a seam, get a crack, take it. Just do what I’ve been born to do, blessed to do...
Michael Vick is pointing a finger at the media for the Philadelphia Eagles’ woes throughout the 2012 NFL season. The Eagles are a disappointing 3-4 this season because of the media. It has nothing to do with the poor play calling of Andy Reid. It has nothing to do with all of Vick’s interceptions and fumbles and poor decisions. It has nothing to do with an overrated defense....
The Eagles released an updated depth chart and Michael Vick's name remains penciled in as the starting quarterback for the team.
As we anxiously await Monday Night Football, a look into the buzz in the Big Easy surrounding the Saints, tonight’s game, and emerging drama surrounding head coach Sean Payton.
The Eagles will catch a break–bad pun unintended–as New Orleans running back Darren Sproules is out indefinitely with a hand injury. He is a critical weapon to the team on a number of fronts: Sproules...
Michael Vick and Drew Brees came into the NFL the same year.
Now, they're in the same predicament.
Both are the quarterbacks of increasingly desperate teams, the season teetering on the edge of collapse.
Brees has essentially become a one-man show for the New Orleans Saints (2-5), who are plagued by a historically leaky defense and anemic running game.
For Vick, the stakes...
I have to admit that it gets a little old scouting other teams when no matter who the opponent is the result is getting gashed 500+ yards regardless. Maybe this game at home on Monday Night could be the exception? At least Michael Vick has been struggling mightily with turnovers... but the flipside is the Saints' defense is just what the doctor ordered for an overhyped quarterback...
Is this Eagles team good enough to win a championship? Are Michael Vick and Andy Reid good enough to be considered a potential Super Bowl-winning coach and quarterback?
We've all thought and talked about these types of things for a while now. The ultimate goal of every NFL team is to win the Super Bowl. Numerous things usually have to fall in place for a team to succeed...
A big congrats to JamesMorse for winning this week by picking correctly on the winner (Broncos, which makes me sick), and three of the four categories correctly. JamesMorse now joins AllisonSmith atop the leaderboard with one victory for the season. Nice work James, you're the Saints Nation Guru this week.
This week the Saints take on the Eagles on Monday Night. Here'...

Just when you believe someone’s dead in the water they play a strong game, Detroit winning over Seattle drops my record to 5-3. This weeks PSW game, Miami and the Colts two drastically improved teams from last year. You have to love defense and the Dolphins are allowing 18 points per game, ranking them fifth in the NFL.Dolphins 19-Colts 13
As many fantasy owners have come to accept, 2012 has not been the year to own Philadelphia Eagles players on your team. Players like Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy have not lived up to their high draft spots while players like DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin have not provided the upside potential many owners hoped for. But that may change for at least this week, as the Eagles are...
