It took four rounds, but the Eagles finally took a cornerback, Trevard Lindley from Kentucky. He’s 5′11″ 185 pounds and finished his career with 10 interceptions and 43 passes defended.

Lindley was also a four-year starter who had shoulder and ankle problems last season. He’s not particularly fast and isn’t considered a good tackler. A perfect fit! He and Asante should get along great. For what it’s worth, the pundits call him a classic “boom or bust” pick.

Defense, defense, defense! All four picks have been spent on positions of need for Sean McDermott to play with. The Birds still have eight picks remaining, although I doubt they hold onto all of those. A trade for a veteran, or for picks next season is likely.
