PLAYERS: Evander Kane
TEAMS: Winnipeg Jets
In a way I feel bad for Evander Kane who met with the Winnipeg media today to talk about the traffic ticket issues he had. On the other hand, just pay the tickets and stories like this would be avoided. from Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press, Evander Kane said he is back in Winnipeg to make news for his hockey exploits, not unpaid traffic tickets. And so the Jets winger said Thursday he has taken care of a pair of outstanding tickets after the Manitoba government filed a Court of Queen’s Bench motion to garnishee his wages in an attempt to recoup $650.80 in fines and costs. The tickets came after Kane was charged on June 4, 2012 for "using a hand-operated electronic device while driving a motor vehicle." That $249.80 ticket went unpaid, leading Manitoba Public Insurance to put a hold on his licence. continued inlcuding video of Kane talking about the issue today...
