In just his second Camping World Series start, Jeb Burton’s confidence is growing after a top-15 finish in his first race at Rockingham Speedway. The son of former Cup Series driver Ward Burton and nephew of current Cup star Jeff Burton, the 19-year-old started out his weekend at the Rock with a couple of practice sessions where he ran in 24th- and 25th-fastest. He then qualified his State Water Heaters Chevrolet 27th on the grid. Throughout the race, the handling of Burton’s truck greatly improved and he was able to bring home an 11th-place finish at the Rock, giving the rookie a dose of confidence heading to Kansas Speedway next weekend. Through three races so far this in 2012, Burton has two lead-lap top-20 finishes under his belt.
