Mike Tomlin and Falcons linebacker Mike Peterson have differing opinions as to who should start the regular-season opener at quarterback for the Steelers. "I'd rather go against a younger guy," Peterson told Joe Starkey and John Seibel of 93.7 The Fan Wednesday. "Whenever you've got a veteran quarterback like (Charlie) Batch, you know he's not going to make too many mistakes." Tomlin, of course, is going with Dixon, who will make his second career start Sunday. Dixon is the more intriguing option of the two given his ability to make plays with his legs as well as his arms. But, as Peterson alluded to, he is also more of a wild card than Batch, who has played well in the past when filling in for Ben Roethlisberger, because of his relative inexperience. "He has the tendency to move out of the pocket and hurt you with his legs," Peterson said, "but you'd rather face that than a veteran guy who's going to control the ball."
