The month of June was dominated by two of the youngest players in the league, and two second basemen.  Yasiel Puig lead all of baseball with 44 hits including 7 home runs, 5 doubles and a triple.  He scored 19 times while driving in 16 runs.  Mike Trout was right there with Puig, collecting 39 hits, 11 of which were doubles.  Trout also drew 15 walks which lead to 15 runs and 15 RBI.  For a position as weak as 2B is this season, Jason Kipnis and Matt Carpenter brought some life to fantasy owners in June.  Kipnis also had 39 hits, but hit 12 doubles and drove in 25 runs while walking 20 times.  He stole 9 bases and crossed the plate 17 times.  Carpenter continued to pace the Cardinals and used 38 hits to score 18 runs and drive in 14.On the mound, Chris Tillman, Bartolo Colon and Max Scherzer were the only pitchers to make at least 5 starts and win them all.  Tillman made 6 starts, lasted 37 innings and surrendered just 27 hits and 11 earned runs.  Colon started 5 games, lasted 36 innings and allowed just 7 runs to cross the plate.  Scherzer took the W in all 5 starts and improved to 12-0.  Over his 34 innings pitched, Max struck out 40 batters, walked just 7 and allowed just 9 runs to score.  Chris Sale dominated opposing hitters over 42.1 innings of work, but the White Sox offense failed him and Sale finished the month of June 0-5 with a 3.19 ERA and lead the Majors in strikeouts.  Miguel Cabrera is still the #1 fantasy player in the league and unless Chris Davis does indeed hit 73 home runs, it seems impossible for anyone to dethrone him.  Jason Kipnis' incredible June pushed him up to 2nd at his position and 12th overall including pitchers, according to our scoring system.  Josh Donaldson hit better than .300 for the third straight month and continues to be a pleasant surprise.  He hit 5 of his 13 home runs last month and drove in 20 RBI to match his April totals. Ian Desmond turned things around in June after hitting just .220 in May.  Desmond hit .306 with 9 of his 15 home runs in June and drove in 28 runs!  Only Chris Davis drove in more runs.  Desmond is now tied with the injured Troy Tulowitzki in SS points which ranks him second behind Jean Segura. After hitting .291 over April and May, Brandon Phillips did the opposite of Desmond and struggled mightily through June.  Phillips hit just .204 and scored 4 runs.  he did manage to continue to drive in runs with 17 RBI but his batting average on balls in play fell to .235 from .306 in May.Catchers and shortstops continue to be useless fantasy players as Buster Posey is the only backstop in the top 50 (not counting Mike Napoli who has not caught a game this season) and Jean Segura the lone SS.  Joe Mauer, Yadier Molina and Carlos Santana are the only other catchers in the top 100!  There are 6 other shortstops in the top 100.There are 7 1B in the top 25, 6 OF and 5 SPThere are 17 OF in the top 50, 10 1B and 10 SPThere are 30 OF in the top 100, 27 SP and 15 1BWith the All-Star game days away, here is what our Fantasy All-Star teams would look like:American League Starters:C - Joe Mauer - Minnesota Twins1B - Chris Davis - Baltimore Orioles2B - Dustin Pedroia - Boston Red Sox3B - Miguel Cabrera - Detroit TigersSS - Jed Lowrie - Oakland AthleticsOF - Mike Trout - Los Angeles AngelsOF - Adam Jones - Baltimore OriolesOF - Jose Bautista - Toronto Blue JaysSP - Max Scherzer - Detroit TigersNational League Starters:C - Buster Posey - San Francisco Giants1B - Paul Goldschmidt - Arizona Diamondbacks2B - Matt Carpenter - St. Louis Cardinals3B - David Wright - New York MetsSS - Jean Segura - Milwaukee BrewersOF - Carlos Gonzalez - Colorado RockiesOF - Jay Bruce - Cincinnati RedsOF - Allen Craig - St. Louis CardinalsSP - Adam Wainwright - St. Louis Cardinals
