Packers Vs. Rams
- The highlight of the game for the Rams came when Sam Brandford connected with Chris Givens for another 50 + deep ball. Chris Givens draft stock is rapidly rising as it appears he can become a premier receiver in his second year. Isaiah Pead got the bulk of the carries only gaining 19 yards on 11 carries. Jared Cook and Tavon Austin showed they will have a lot of worth to the Rams this year. Cook brought in a nice 37 yard reception showing off his speed and Austin caught his first 4 balls of his career.
- Aaron Rodgers was his normal self Saturday going 10 of 12 for 134 yards, targeting his tight end Jermichael Finley 4 times for 78 yards in the abscense of Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb. Eddie Lacey made his NFL debut and did not skip a beat from his days at Alabama, Lacey ran right threw the Rams stout defensive line breaking tackles on multiple occasions.

ST. LOUIS -- When veteran linebacker Will Witherspoon decided to sign with the Rams days before training camp, he says playing time wasn't a factor.
The 12-year veteran was seeking a comfort zone and the Rams provided it. Not only had Witherspoon spent three-plus seasons in St. Louis, one of his ensuing seasons in Tennessee came when Jeff Fisher was head coach.
6-foot-5, 258-pound rookie Gerald Rivers was on the field for more plays than any other Rams defender against the Cleveland Browns. He saw some time with the first unit and finished with a pair of tackles. Rivers got a lot of time due to the absence of Eugene Sims who was tending to personal matters. However, Rivers was glad to get the chance to show the coaches what he’s got.
ST. LOUIS --The Rams' backfield has a new No. 1 penciled in on the depth chart. Jeff Fisher announced Daryl Richardson as the starter after practice on Monday at Rams Park.
Through two preseason games, Richardson has ran the ball four times for 24 yards and hauled in three passes for 44 yards.
"Basically from a starting standpoint, yeah, I think Daryl would probably...
ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Shuffling players up and down a depth chart is great when the movement is fueled by a backup who raises the bar.
But this is far from that.
So far the jostling between Kellen Clemens and Austin Davis for the chance to hold Sam Bradford's clipboard has seemed to be more about who underperforms less.
"We'll go back to Austin this week as a two,"...
Jeff Fisher (@STLouisRams)
I feel obligated to preface this article with the fact that I am seriously biased in favor of Jeff Fisher. As a Tennessee Titans fan, I grew up watching his mastery in the AFC South. His coaching battles against Dungy and the on-field General Manning were epic. Several years later, I was fortunate enough to “hang” with the Southern California native...
The St. Louis Rams crowded running back competition during training camp is over and Daryl Richardson is the man on top, head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed Monday, via Dan Hanzus of NFL.com.
The St. Louis Rams put its new offense on display for the first time at the Edward Jones Dome since signing tight Jared Cook and left tackle Jake Long while drafting wide receiver Tavon Austin at No. 8 overall and things went alright. The offense certainly showed flashes of brilliance, particularly on a 59-yard by quarterback Sam Bradford to second-year wideout Chris Givens, the...
Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has officially named Daryl Richardson as their starting running for week one of the regular season.
No surprise, but it's now official. Jeff Fisher names Daryl Richardson the opening day starter at running back for the Rams.

This isn’t a surprise at all. Richardson has been their best running back and Isaiah...
The St. Louis Rams have named Daryl Richardson as the starting running back from Week 1 of the NFL season.
Richardson, 23, beat out a slue of other running backs to be at the top of the depth chart.
The Rams are running the spread offense this season which makes Richardson (5’10″ and 195 pounds) an option to easily surpass 200 carries and push for 50 receptions on...
Jim Thomas reports that Rams HC Jeff Fisher has named Daryl Richardson the team’s starting running back for Week 1.
Richardson was competing with Isaiah Pead for the starting job, but every indication seemed to be pointing to Richardson getting the nod.
It will be interest to see what kind of split the Rams use between their two young backs. The Rams also have rookie Zac Stacy...
When the St. Louis Rams found out that they would be without the services of Jo-Lon Dunbar for four games due to him violating the league’s substance abuse policy for PEDs, fans in St. Louis immediately looked at the schedule to see who the Rams were playing during the season’s first four games.
And it is not pretty.
The Rams start the season at home against the Arizona Cardinals...
(Eds: With AP Photos.) By R.B. FALLSTROM AP Sports Writer Jeff Fisher is determined to keep everyone guessing for the rest of the preseason.
So you can expect the St. Louis Rams coach to bring out two more conservative game plans in the last preseason games.
''We've got a regular season we're concerned about,'' Fisher said. ''We're throwing it...
