I think it was N’Sync who coined the phrase, ” Bye , bye, bye , bye” . If I’d have known they were Fantasy football fans, I might have shown more interest in their music.
The message couldn’t be more clear though, that bye weeks begin now. This is where your late round draft pics start to make sense. Either that or you are scrambling on the waivers to switch EJ Manuel for Aaron Rodgers or in other words, you are most likely going to lose this week.
Hopefully that’s not the case, but the bye does add a nice wrinkle to the fantasy season. The great equalizer. This year, everyone is looking at the guy at 3-0 and wondering when the Broncos are on a bye ( week 9) so they can see how their team looks without Manning and co.
So hopefully you drafted wisely and have some decent backups. Not like me, who in one league drafted Nick Foles thinking Vick would be out by now as well as having Cam Newton as my starter, who sits durin...
BEST OF MAXIM
Last night agent Bus Cook who represents quite a few players, including Brett Favre sounded like he was drunk talking about Brett Favre. “Today, he could play today,” Cook said Monday night, via the Mobile Press-Register. “I saw him the other day. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers told ESPN 540 in Milwaukee today that he doesn’t have any problems with head coach Mike McCarthy after their heated argument on the sidelines of this past week’s loss to the Bengals.
“That was definitely over and done with after we talked on the sideline,” Rodgers said, via ESPN.com. “Mike and I have been together for a long...
Today Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict has been fined a total of $31,000 for two infractions against the Packers in Cincinnati’s 34-30 victory. He was fined $21,000 for a hit to the head and neck area of a defenseless receiver and $10,000 for hitting an opposing player below the belt. Hopefully the Bengals can stop him […]

After losing a close game to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Green Bay Packers fell to 1-2 as they head into their bye week. This bye week will be used as a time for many players, including Clay Matthews, Jermichael Finley, James Starks, and Eddie Lacy, to rehab their various injuries they suffered during the first three weeks...
By now, you've heard the numbers: Aaron Rodgers is 5-24 when trailing by one score in the fourth quarter and 9-26 when ties and overtime is included. Packer Report examines all 35 games to see who was really to blame (or credit).
This week is the start of bye weeks in the NFL, so we’ll be without the presence of Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton this week. Despite one of the best QB’s being sidelined this week, there are still plenty of games to keep our attention.
There are two games that jump off the schedule at first glance. Philadelphia and Denver is definite must-see-TV. The Eagles fast paced offense...
There is plenty to talk about this week, as Mike and Dan review one of the strangest games in recent memory. They also discuss how much should be made of the sideline spat between Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy, as well as the pros and cons of having the bye week so early this season.

As the Packers begin going their separate ways for the (very early and much needed) bye week, many are of the opinion that they are a team muddled with question marks.
Aaron Rodgers went from having arguably his best performance ever against the Redskins to by far his worst game in several years against the Bengals.
Eddie Lacy, the salvation for the much beleaguered running game...
If you’re an Aaron Rodgers or Cam Newton fantasy owner this week, you'd better have a strong backup like Michael Vick or Tony Romo because the waiver wire is a little thin when it comes to QBs.
It’s that time of year to take some risks. Seasons are won and lost by rolling the dice on players that can pay off big if you’re willing to take the chance.
Good thing you have...
