I don’t even know how badly I lost last week.  It could’ve been 3-6, 2-7, or even 1-8.  I didn’t dare to look, but I know I got creamed.  I was way out-gamed and I knew going in that it was basically a bad loss waiting to happen, but now I’ve got all but one of my injured players back and it’s time for me to put up or shut up.  I didn’t have a great day today but hopefully sh!t will figure itself out tomorrow.  Anyway, moving right along… All rankings are based on nine-category (FG%/FT%/3PT/PTS/REB/AST/STL/BLK/TO) totals and head-to-head format. Kevin Garnett, BOS: No wonder the Celtics won three of four last week–both KG and his buddy Paul Pierce ranked in the top 20!  Garnett was the better fantasy player of the two, coming in 15 spots ahead of Pierce as he finished #3.  He averaged over 2 steals AND blocks per game along with solid scoring (13.3 PPG) and rebounding (8.8 RPG) numbers.  He made all 13 of his freebies and threw in 13 a...

Celtics Live Blog: Paul Pierce, C's Seek Revenge Against Cavaliers in Cleveland

8 a.m.: After giving up 12 unanswered points to close out Sunday's loss, the Celtics travel to Cleveland looking for a measure of revenge against the Cavs. Ray Allen is expected to make his second start since returning from an ankle injury, and although Paul Pierce was upset over his playing time in the fourth quarter Sunday, he gave no indication that his unhappiness would carry...

Comments From the Other Side - Cavs 1/29

Not a lot of Cavs fans were chatting last night during the game. It's definitely not as much fun to gather these comments when we lose, especially when we lose the way we did last night. This comment about Paul Pierce was my favorite: "I use to hate him for spitting at LeBum in his rookie year but damn he did the right thing lol.." Still a lot of bitterness toward...

Is Brandon Bass' Play the Most Pleasant Surprise for the Celtics This Season?

Paul Pierce was too old and too fragile two weeks ago. Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge even floated the possibility of trading the 14-year veteran. Pierce has played with newfound furor since then, averaging 24.5 points over the last five games while regularly posting double-digit totals in rebounds and assists. It's a surprising development for a soon...

Comments From the Other Side - Cavs 1/31

We almost had another big lead lost loss, but thankfully the Celtics pulled it out this time. The Cavs fans aren't a very chatty bunch compared to others and I think criticize their own players as much as they do the other team but they definitely don't like the Celtics. They are even willing to derail their tanking to beat them. I'd love to have Varejao. though, he...

Taking Stock: Celtics - Cavaliers

After every game, we'll take stock of how each individual performance affects the player's overall value. Starters Avery Bradley:  His D wasn't nearly what it was in the last Orlando game, and the 5 turnovers (a couple of them were really bad) were a problem.  And if E'Twaun Moore is going to play like he did last night, Avery... defense and all...
