To say Mike D'Antoni is headed off to greener pastures is a stretch, he is just switching from one marquee NBA team on a down slide to another marquee NBA team that has managed to fall past rock bottom. In New York D'Antoni's greatest asset won't be his beautiful style or knack to win tons of regular season games, his greatest asset will be that he is not his predecessor.New York perspective: It is quite obvious that the Knicks, currently, do not have the personnel to run D'Antoni's offense effectively. Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph are slow plodding big men that can doom the fast break, and Stephon Marbury is not the ideal point guard (ya know, the kind that passes the ball). They do have some pieces for this offense: Jamal Crawford has the ability to shine and we have already seen Quentin Richardson play well in a D'Antoni offense.
