Midwest Sports Fans:
In episode #29 of The Bottoms Line College Basketball Podcast, our final March Madness edition, I am joined by Raphielle Johnson of CollegeHoopsNet.com to preview this weekend’s Final Four.
Raphielle and I break down the Louisville-Kentucky and Kansas-Ohio State games pretty intensively, as well as predict who will make the National Championship Game and how that game might go.
We also take a look back at the season as a whole, with the final three games of 2012 on tap Saturday and Monday.

Coach Urban Meyer took to the practice fields for the first time as leader of the Ohio State Buckeyes Wednesday afternoon for the start of the 2012 spring drills.
“I felt great,” Meyer said afterward. “It was great to blow the whistle and watch the guys run. It was great to coach punting, something I love to do, and to just watch the positions.”
ESPN was in Columbus to...
Ya know you have seen him watching the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday’s for the last 30+ years, and you have probably thought to yourself that he is just another annoying OSU fan. But Buck-I-Guy, as he is known in Columbus, is just a retired fireman who just loves his team. John Chubb, he has a real name, is the man under the big hat. He claims that he is lucky to be alive...
Our preview of the Cheerleaders of the Final Four rolls on with the Ohio State Buckeyes. I learned a little something I didn’t know about tOSU during my extensive research for this post…Columbus, OH is full of gorgeous coeds!! I mean, the damn place seems to be overflowing with hotties. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen for a solid 2 hours. The only problem, though, is...
Leading up to this weekend’s Final Four, the star of the Buckeyes, (not Jared Sullinger) guard Aaron Craft is on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Ohio State coach Thad Matta had seen enough, so he called off practice.
Senior William Buford wouldn't let them quit. We're sticking around, finishing this - with or without coach.
''We needed to stay together and show coach that we really wanted to be here,'' Buford said on Thursday.
They sure did.
Sparked by that we'll-show-coach moment of solidarity...
Despite the perception that Ohio State is strictly a football school, the basketball Buckeyes might beg to differ. They are making their 11th trip to the Final Four, and only UCLA, North Carolina, Kentucky, Duke and Kansas have more.
Ohio State's long track record of success in both football and men's basketball is nearly unparalleled, and it doesn't show any sign of abating in the near future. OSU has emerged from NCAA scandals in both sports in good shape with head coaches Urban Meyer and Thad Matta, and the two form a partnership that has the potential to be very fruitful.
Urban Meyer Living the High Life in Ohio
Who said you can’t live the good life in the state of Ohio? Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is settling into his new state just fine based on the photo of his newly purchased home below. Meyer and his wife recently purchased a 11,000 sq. ft. mansion in Dublin, Ohio which is 13 miles from Ohio State University. Meyer got a steal at...
Urban Meyer cleaned up late in the recruiting process, and ended up with an amazing class for 2012. With a full year to concentrate on his next class, and five commits in the books, Ohio State is expected to land another highly-rated class. This weekend could go a long way toward achieving that goal, with several unofficial visitors on campus.
Ohio State assistant Jeff Boals is in the midst of coaching in the biggest games of his career. However, the Ohio State assistant has been linked to talks regarding the recently vacant Ohio job. Boals talked to BuckeyeSports.com about his current situation inside.
Even though he committed to West Virginia the day after National Signing Day, Jayme Thompson continues to add BCS offers. The Toledo Central Catholic safety picked up an offer from Ohio State Tuesday morning.
Scout.com/FOX Sports' Ken Davis and Emily Villere preview the upcoming matchup between the Jayhawks and Buckeyes as each team battles it out for a spot to play in the national championship.
