According to Rick Stroud and John Clayton, respectively, the Bucs plan on interviewing Jerry Gray and Mike Sherman.
Bucs plan to interview Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray. Will make Bucs compliant with the Rooney Rule
I can’t imagine Gray has a shot. I have to think the Glazers are going after an offensive-minded coach since they have everything staked on Josh Freeman. But Gray was a Buccaneer for a season when he was playing, so he at least has that tie to the team. I just don’t think it’s enough. But hooray for tokenism!
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have contacted former Green Bay Packers and Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman regarding their vacant head coaching job. The team is in the process of scheduling an interview, a source said Tuesday.
Sherman has been a popular name since the speculation about Raheem Morris getting fired started, so that’s not a surprise. He has credentials and would bring some discipline. Just no excitement.

Buccaneers To Interview Ex-Texas A&M Coach Mike Sherman
Before Texas A&M was enticed enough to offer Mike Sherman their head coaching job in 2008, his last stint in the NFL was in 2007 as an offensive assistant with the Houston Texans.
