I hope I’m wrong, but Saturday will likely end with Tennessee’s ninth straight loss to the Florida Gators. The Vols are just too young and Florida’s got too strong a defense. However, Coach Butch Jones is doing good things and I think they’ll be climbing the mountain again soon. And when the Vols do make it back, their fans need to look to Gainesville to remind ourselves how not to act. Florida fans suck for a multitude of reasons, but for the sake of space, here are the top five. In the interest of full disclosure, I am a die-hard Tennessee Vols fan, but the below reasons come from a place that is pure of heart. 5. Back-Door National Titles I know, I know. And in each of the seasons, their fans entered December with the uncertainty and worry of two teenagers using the withdrawal method. In 1996, No. 1 Florida dropped the last game of the season to No. 2 Florida State and fell to No. 4. The next wee...

The odds say not, but we will take a closer look inside to see where the two teams stack up.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Gators senior defensive tackle Dominique Easley is not impressed.
He is not impressed at Florida leading the SEC and ranking third in the country in total defense, limiting opponents to 208.5 yards per game -- or nearly five football fields fewer than Oregon's offense (687 yards) rolled up against Tennessee.

Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post leaked this photo of the rules of the road for the Toledo Rocket football team. Toledo opened their season with a 26-3 loss to the Florida Gators but that probably didn’t have anything to do with their hotel behavior (unless this is new). These seem pretty strict but I guess you wouldn’t want a whole football team ordering movies or room...

Sleeper tackle Delroy Baker, who's committed to Indiana, has a new home. All this and more in this week's notebook.
Jon Halapio isn’t used to the sidelines. The redshirt senior has played in 41 games and started 33 during his first three years on the field for Florida. Sitting out the first two games of this season -- especially having to watch a loss -- because of a pectoral injury was tough. Halapio returned to practice last week and will be back with the Florida offensive line on Saturday...
