The Florida Gators have made the hiring of Jeff Dillman as the strength and conditioning coordinator official. Although rumored for weeks and thought to occur already, the hiring became official on Tuesday when Dillman was announced as the newest member of the football staff.Dillman comes to the Gators from IMG Academies where he was the head of physical conditioning. At IMG, Dillman worked with a number of professional and aspiring professional athletes. He is no stranger to the college football scene. Prior to IMG, Dillman was the Appalachian State Mountaineers' strength and conditioning coordinator and a strength coach with the LSU Tigers, where he worked with Florida head coach Will Muschamp.The new Gators' strength coach is know a disciplined leader that requires great focus and determination from his players. He should be a welcome addition to Florida and work well with the talent the Gators consistently bring to Gainesville.

Howard and Rainey Earn Senior Bowl Invite

Running back Chris Rainey and defensive tackle Jaye Howard were both selected to participate in the Senior Bowl on January 28 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. This is the third consecutive year that a senior from Florida has participated in the game.

Floyd and Defense Make a Statement

He's back home on the inside of the defensive line and with this tumultuous season behind him Sharrif Floyd says the Gators are ready to make forward progress in 2012. The sophomore defensive tackle from Philadelphia has been a mainstay for the Florida defense all year and on Saturday that defense was dominant against a Big-10 squad that was supposed to be bigger and more physical.

Special Teams Help Debose Earn MVP

Andre Debose has spent all season giving the Gators a deep threat. In Monday's Gator Bowl, he found a different, but familiar, way to make an impact. Debose secured the Gator Bowl MVP with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown that came just after an Ohio State touchdown to tie the game. The kickoff return also forced changes to be made to the Florida record books.
