Fox Sports Southwest:
While many head coaches around college football are reluctant to express their true feelings on Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, former Colorado, Washington and ULCA coach Rick Neuheisel, didn't shy away from conveying his opinions on the topic at all.
Neuheisel, in fact, felt so strongly about the Johnny Football topic, he wrote a song about the Heisman winner, singing it on national radio while accompanying himself by his own guitar while appearing on the Dan Patrick Show.
Here are the lyrics in case you want to replay the video and sing along:
Out in the badlands they call College Station
Lives a young Aggie named Johnny Manziel
Football and life were to him a bull ride
He rode them both like a bat out of hell
He shocked the nation by beating the best
Flattening out the Tide falsetto
The Heisman came calling, the agents came crawling
But through it all Johnny Football did ride
Now our young Aggie's no longer a hero
He was a target of public disdain
BEST OF MAXIM
A.J. McCarron was interviewed by Dan Patrick on Monday. Can you guess how many questions he posed before asking McCarron to compare himself to Manziel?
Rick Neuheisel has been flaunting his skills on the football field for years as a player and coach, but on Monday morning, the Pac-12 Network analyst revealed some musical talents he had been hiding.
Neuheisel called into the Dan Patrick Show, ready to talk about one of college football’s hottest topics: Johnny Manziel. But instead of talking about the Texas A&M quarterback...
Former UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel, who now works as an analyst for the Pac-12 network, went on The Dan Patrick Show this morning to talk sing about college football. Yep, that’s right – sing.
Neuheisel pulled out a guitar and belted out a song about Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel to tune of Marty Robbins’ “El Paso”. Have a listen:
It’s hard not to be impressed...
Video: Weird moment Dan Patrick's radio show
Rick Neuheisel wrote a song about Johnny Manziel and sang it on the Dan Patrick Show.
This is actually a great P.S.A. for any athlete who is looking for what exactly not to do when organically relaying your sponsor’s message. Mets’ pitcher Matt Harvey appeared on the Dan Patrick Show Wednesday morning and he was speaking on behalf of Qualcomm, but Matt didn’t really understand he was supposed to also answer a few other questions . That was as awkward as...
Former coach and current Pac 12 analyst Rick Neuheisel and his guitar was a guest on The Dan Patrick Show this morning in quite the unique radio spot. Neuheisel sang a parody song for the Alabama-A&M game about Johnny Manziel set to Marty Robbins' classic country & western tune El Paso.
The most amazing thing... the song is actually good! The lyrics are funny...
We showed you the video of Matt Harvey’s disaster of an interview (if you can call it that) earlier on Wednesday, but now it appears that the Mets ace will have a chance to redeem himself. Either that or Qualcomm is the coolest company I’ve ever come across. Paul Pabst, producer of the Dan Patrick show, took to Twitter to let folks know that Matt will be back on the show on...
Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron went on The Dan Patrick Show this morning to talk about this past Saturday’s slugfest with Texas A&M, his label as a “game manager”, and why he doesn’t crave the spotlight. He also dodged a few questions about Johnny Football, including when Patrick asked him to name something he (McCarron) does better than the Aggies’ signal-caller...
What’s Matt Harvey’s deal? Has this guy never done radio promos before? What was his story today on the Dan Patrick Show when…
Matt Harvey gave the Mets and their fans plenty to cheer about this summer. The younger hurler was lights out for most of the season. However, he was recently shut down due to an elbow injury that may require Tommy John Surgery. This would mean Harvey will miss all of next season as well.
Earlier today, Harvey called into a well listened radio program called The Dan Patrick Show...
Johnny Manziel, which the Alabama Crimson Tide Sports Information Department claims was “contained by the Alabama defense for much of the game” (even though Texas Agricultural & Manziel set a school record for total offense on ‘Bama) is now the topic of discussion by NFL pundits.
Yes, the NFL punditocracy, not the college football punditocracy.
NBC Sports Scott Pioli...
