Asamoah Gyan is currently out with a thigh injury
Al Ain coach Cosmin Olaroiu remains deeply hurt by the loss of striker Asamoah Gyan but says ‘team work’ will see his side through the difficult period.
The Ghana captain picked up a thigh injury while playing for the Black Stars in last month’s comprehensive 4-0 win over Sudan in a 2014 World Cup qualifier.
Gyan’s injury incurred the fury of the Boss’ Romanian trainer who blasted the Ghana FA for allowing his leading striker to start the crucial World Cup qualifier despite picking the injury days before the game.
The 27-year-old as a result will now miss key games for Al Ain who look to seal a second successive domestic title and progression from the group stages of the Asian Champions League.
And coach Olaroiu has admitted to the enormous difficulty of getting through games without his top striker but is banking on team effort to lessen his plight.
