Found March 10, 2013 on Brooklyn Balling:
Look at that determination! And forehead!   If I told you that the Nets only scored 93 points last night and gave up 10 to Johan "Beaker" Petro alone, you might think that they lost last night's contest with the Atlanta Hawks. Au contraire, as Brooklyn actually held the Hawks as a team to 80 in Atlanta last night, leading to the Nets' 3rd-straight win and first in Atlanta in a few years. The Nets extended their advantage over the home team to 2.5 games in the Eastern Conference standings, in addition to improving their mark in the season series to 2-1. The Nets got off to a slow start, going down 11-1 right off the bat but managed to fight back and tie the score up by the end of the first quarter. Although he didn't hit seven threes in the period like he did on Friday, D-Will did hit a big triple late in the first to help the comeback effort. Where this game would turn in the Nets' favor would be in the next quarter, when the Brooklyn ...

a good week for the Brooklyn Nets

It has been a good week in Brooklyn. Not only have the Nets won three in a row (pretty convincingly, I might add; average margin of 17 points) and D-Will had a historic game, but the Pacer, Bulls and Celtics lost Sunday, Hawks have lost two in a row, and the Knicks are hurting (lost Amar’e for the remainder of the regular season while Melo is also dealing with an injury). The defense...

Nets Look To Extend Winning Streak Tonight Against Sixers

Coming into the game winners of their last 3 games, the Brooklyn Nets will look to extend that winning streak to 4 games against the lowly Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia. A win would mark the first time the Nets have been 12 games above .500 since 4/19/06, almost 7 years. The last time the Nets were at the Barclay’s, on Friday night, Deron Williams...

Comments from the Other Side - Hawks 3/8

It always amazes me when there is a team like the Hawks that is playing well and yet their fans aren't really behind them.    Unlike the Raptors, who aren't playing so well, yet have over a hundred pages on  3 or 4 different boards,  it's hard to find an active game thread for the Hawks.  I mean, even the Bobcats have a more loyal following than the Hawks.  I say...

Tonight, vs the Nets, he scored 24 points, grabbed 10 boards, dished out seven assists, and shot nearly 67 percent from the field. Hornets-Nets Preview

Two weeks ago, the Brooklyn Nets defeated the last-place New Orleans Hornets thanks in large part to a clutch performance from Deron Williams. Improved defensive play may be the key this time. While Williams looks to continue his impressive stretch, coach P.J. Carlesimo wants better defense from his team as the Nets attempt to re-establish their momentum Tuesday night against the...

Nets-76ers Preview

The Brooklyn Nets seem to be gaining some confidence during a soft portion of their schedule. The key has been their defense - and one of the league's lowest-scoring teams doesn't seem likely to stand in their way. The Nets will try for their fourth straight victory on Monday night when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers, who have lost 12 of 13. Brooklyn (37-26) bounced...

- Wizards at Nets: Derailed by D-Will

nets 95 wizards 78 3/8/2013 - Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY ESPN Boxscore Game Highlights Associated Press I wasn’t quite sure where to start with this one. My mind was pretty much left in shambles after observing that record-setting bombardment of 3-point shots by Deron Williams. I mean, I had barely gotten settled on my couch and was still blowing...
