After a tumultuous weekend of Top 5 football, the Bulldogs found that sometimes it’s better to have a little bit of ‘luck’ on your side. The Georgia Bulldogs BCS National Championship hopes rose on Sunday evening as the latest BCS rankings lifted the Bulldogs from N0. 5 to No.3. That means one thing and one thing only, if you’re a Dawg fan: if they win the last two games, they play for the National Championship. The Bulldogs will face Georgia Tech (6-5), at home, in their regular season finale and then start prepping for a date with Alabama in the SEC Championship Game (assuming the Tide roll over Auburn in the ‘Iron Bowl’). That said, Georgia holds a set of keys to their BCS future and they would do well to maintain their focus down the home stretch. Currently, the BCS Top 5 rounds out as follows: 1. Notre Dame 2. Alabama 3. Georgia 4. Florida Gators 5. Oregon That’s three spots currently being held by an SEC team.
