It’s no secret the Georgia Bulldogs want Alvin Kamara—at least it’s not to any fan whose been following Bulldog recruiting with more than a passing interest— he’s been a longtime staple on the team’s 2013 recruiting wish list. That said, Kamara made it clear from the beginning that he wasn’t in a hurry to make a decision about his collegiate playing future, and his primary concern for 2012 is with helping his Norcross Blue Devils win a state championship (the Blue Devils finished the regular season undefeated and are heading to the GHSA playoffs). Even so, when Kamara speaks at any length about his recruitment, the Bulldogs aren’t far from his mouth—and even though Georgia recently secured the services of A.J. Turman this week, Kamara remains unfazed. “Alabama and Georgia are up there as the top two, and Oregon is still trying to talk to me,” Kamara said. “Oregon is out there, but their fast-paced offense is exactly what I do, so I am pretty interested to see...

ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia outside linebacker Chase Vasser will have surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder and miss the remainder of the season. Georgia announced...
ATHENS, Ga. -- Aaron Murray threw four touchdown passes, Todd Gurley became only the second true freshman in Georgia history to rush for 1,000 yards, and the No. 5 Bulldogs bounced back from a sluggish start to blow out lower-division Georgia Southern 45-14 Saturday. Georgia (10-1) reached 10 wins for the eighth time in Mark Richt's dozen seasons as coach. Georgia Southern...
Josh Harvey-Clemons was recruited to play linebacker at the University of Georgia. However, he’s made it clear that he prefers and wants to play safety—period. “I’m really looking forward to playing safety, really.” There will also be more of a need at safety in 2013, with seniors Shawn Williams and Bacarri Rambo set to leave, and no obvious replacement. The linebacker...

It doesn’t seem like Georgia freshman linebacker Matt Stagg landing a DUI is that big of a deal. It happens. Thankfully, he didn’t hurt anyone. The DUI isn’t even why we’re here.
It’s your run-of-the-mill DUI stops from the Athens fuzz.
The officer pulled Matthew Carlton Stagg, 18, over by the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity house and reportedly explained to Stagg why he...
I suspect those pesky Eagles will be looking to neutralize Jarvis Jones immediately, but Jones has been known to find ways to stay in the game—when healthy. Hopefully, the Bulldogs seize control of this one early enough that Jones won’t have to play the hero.
After visiting several schools unofficially, running back A.J. Turman gave his verbal pledge to the Georgia Bulldogs. It was a family decision for the 6-foot, 200-pound standout from Boone (Orlando, FL). Both parents were very much involved in his decision and were thrilled with his choice. The Turmans talk about joining the UGA family right here.

A win Saturday would mark the 20th time in school history that the Bulldogs have reached 10 wins in a season. Georgia last had back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2007-08.
Georgia has 34 plays of 30 yards or more this season, the third most in FBS. The Bulldogs had 23 all of last season. The only game that the Bulldogs did not have at least one such play was at South...
