The original report came from Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports: Word is #GaTech coach Paul Johnson is not happy with the school. Hopes they buy him out, according to a source. — Bruce Feldman (@BFeldmanCBS) January 3, 2014 This afternoon, Johnson himself has released a statement via Georgia Tech athletics — he is completely refuting the rumors: .@GTPaulJohnson on @BFeldmanCBS tweet: “The rumors on social media are not true. I plan being head coach at #GaTech into the future.”(1/2) — Georgia Tech Sports (@GTAthletics) January 3, 2014 .@GTPaulJohnson on @BFeldmanCBS tweet: “I look forward to finishing up recruiting and getting ready for the 2014 season.” (2/2) — Georgia Tech Sports (@GTAthletics) January 3, 2014 There it is, straight from the coach’s mouth — it will be interesting to see if this story dies here or if it continues to have legs. Yesterday, GT quarterback Vad Lee announced that he plans to transfer away from the school.
