Midfielder Derek Boateng is determined to regain his place in Martin Jol’s starting XI ahead of Tuesday’s Capital One Cup visit to Everton.
The Ghana international was then handed his Whites debut as Jol’s men began the new campaign with a 1-0 win at Sunderland on the opening day of the season.
Since then, however, chances have been hard to come but the 30-year-old retains a steely resolve to be a hit in the black and white of Fulham.
“This is a great club and I’m very thankful for the chance that I’ve been given,” he said.
“There were a few teams interested in signing me, but Martin Jol showed the greatest desire to get me in.
“It’s well known that I’d come close to joining the Club in the past, and when the chance came up again I couldn’t wait for it to happen.
“I think I had a good summer, and in the games that I was part of I thought I did well. I’m hopeful that I can get back in the starting XI-I’m certainly working as hard as I can to make that happen.
