WHAS11 sports reporter Adam Lefkoe caught up with Gorgui Dieng for an exclusive sit down interview a few weeks ago when the big fella’ was back in town. As you could expect, Adam spoke with Gorgui about his homeland of Senegal and Louisville’s championship season. However, the two also talked about something that you may not have expected.
You may have seen on different social media outlets over the past few weeks that Gorgui has become friends with former Kentucky center Nerlens Noel since the season ended. The two were pretty chummy with one another at the NBA Draft camp in May. Both Noel and Dieng had to sit out due to injuries.
When asked by Lefkoe about his relationship with Noel, Dieng gave a surprising response. He says that going forward he will cheer for Kentucky when they’re not playing against Louisville due to his friendship with Noel.
