It was only fitting that the Jacksonville Sharks win the Arena Bowl on the games last play. It was a payoff for the owners,staff,and players who worked hard for five months to acheive this lofty goal. The team put the city on the national spotlight overshining rival Tampa and Miami .The players of this game are well conditioned as they prove it by playing both ways determined to be successful not only for themselves but the fans as well. The situation last friday night was one that ever young football player dreams of and cannot wait too make it come true. Where will this lead the Sharks? It will be harder for them next season to defend because they are now the hunted. The leagues system of equalizing the talent makes it possible for all the teams to be competive. Spokane a two time AF2 champion and last seasons winner found out how hard it is especially early on in the season coming out of the gates with a losing record before turning it around and making the playoffs.The Sharks are a solid team,this may not happen to them but if it does Coach Moss and his staff will likely find a way too get through it and remain amongst the elite in the AFL.
This will be the last column for the season. We have so many too thank that made this season enjoyable. The commissionor down to the great performance by the entire NFL Network family in putting together a great series the Arena League is indeed the place to be from March to August. We hope this will continue but for now its time to say so long until March when we begin another Afl Season.
The NFL Network is truely the best thing to ever happen to football and we hear at Yardbarker hope that it will never leave.
