The Memphis Grizzlies signed veteran guard Gilbert Arenas to a contract on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed for Arenas, who worked out with the team on Monday. Arenas has been out of the NBA since the Orlando Magic used their amnesty provision to rid themselves of his $63 million contract this past offseason. The Los Angeles Lakers took a look at Arenas last month but passed on signing the veteran, who posted a career-low 10.8 points on 36.6 percent shooting last season. He’s undergone multiple surgeries on his left knee but has recently done platelet rich plasma therapy, which he says has helped. A three-time NBA All-Star, Arenas averaged 21.2 points and 5.4 assists for his 10-year career.
