Hello, hello, hello? Is there anybody in there?

You know the drill by now. I go on a writing frenzy, then I take about three months off, and on and on it goes. And here I am again. My laptop had been on the fritz for a few months and I finally got around to getting a new one tonight, which seemed like a great time to get back to blogging and also a lame but well-timed excuse for why I've been out of action for a while.
