This past January, the University of Arizona announced it would be moving from a grass football field to “FieldTurf Revolution CoolPlay”, a surface designed to lower the on-field temperature for athletes. The school also announced they’d be debuting “ghost lettering” of the university’s motto “Bear Down” faded into the turf itself. The school’s Facebook account posted a link to a feed that shows how progress is coming along on the new field. Here’s a screenshot of what it looks like right now with most of the changes complete. For reference, here’s a rendition of what the field was designed to look like – pretty close.
