Devin Hester (Getty Images) As the weeks have went by after Smith has been relived of his duties as the Bears head coach, Hester has changed his mind. Now, he has no plans to retire. “I’m going to try to get two or three more years in,” Hester said. “I think I have that much left in me. At the same time, I think I do need a fresh start.” While he said he has no plans to retire, he said he may need a fresh start. But has a $2.94 million dollar cap hit in the final year of his contract. There is speculation that he could be released in the off-season. But Hester said he may request a trade out of Chicago. But Phil Emery, the Bears GM, would decide if he is traded. Yet, Hester says if he stays with the Bears, he would not want to play offense.
