Hockey fundraiser at Ice Ranch

Avalanche fans, please consider attending a hockey fundraising event before Sunday’s Super Bowl. My friend Jeff Karas, who coaches teams at Littleton and the Colorado Select (girls), is battling Leukemia and a fundraiser to fight cancer in his honor is noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ice Ranch in Littleton/Highlands Ranch. The event is called “Ice Cancer 4Ever” and all proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. According to the organizers, “The event is a combined hockey game between players from the Littleton Bantam AA and Colorado Select 14AA. Everything will be in orange and green for Leukemia and Lymphoma colors, including the jerseys worn by the players. We will be accepting donations at the door and there will be an awesome silent auction.
