Star goalkeeper Hope Solo is back with the national team. Solo was one of 23 players chosen by coach Tom Sermanni on Wednesday to prepare for two games against South Korea. Solo has been out since having left wrist surgery in March. Solo, who has 135 international appearances, will be available for both matches, her first time back with the U.S. women since February. The Americans will play South Korea on June 15 in Foxborough, Mass., and five days later in Harrison, N.J. Sermanni chose 18 of the 21 players who trained in Canada for a week leading up to a 3-0 victory against the host country last Sunday in Toronto. He also added Solo, midfielder Megan Rapinoe, who will have completed her season with Lyon, France; midfielder Yael Averbuch (Goteborg in Sweden); and defender Meghan Klingenberg (Tyreso in Sweden). ''We'll bring back in a few familiar faces that weren't with us in Canada, but all of the players are performing at a high level and the competition within the team is excellent,'' Sermanni said. ''We're pleased that we can get in these high-quality games during the NWSL season and are looking forward to the challenge of playing the South Koreans, who are certainly one of the most improved teams over the past few years. They are an extremely gifted technical team who play an entertaining brand of soccer and we want to give the fans in Boston and New Jersey a good show.'' Among the veterans on the squad are forwards Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan, midfielders Carli Lloyd and Heather O'Reilly, and defenders Christie Rampone, Rachel Buehler and Becky Sauerbrunn. For the match at Gillette Stadium, the U.S. Women will wear game jerseys and pregame warm-ups with a ''Boston Strong'' logo. With the support of the players' association, all of the jerseys and warm-up tops will be signed by the players and auctioned off to benefit The Victim Relief Fund of The One Fund Boston. The roster: Goalkeepers: Nicole Barnhart (FC Kansas City), Jill Loyden (Sky Blue FC), Hope Solo (Seattle Reign) Defenders: Rachel Buehler (Portland Thorns FC), Crystal Dunn (North Carolina), Whitney Engen (Liverpool, England), Meghan Klingenberg (Tyreso, Sweden), Ali Krieger (Washington Spirit), Kelley O'Hara (Sky Blue FC), Christie Rampone (Sky Blue FC), Becky Sauerbrunn (FC Kansas City) Midfielders: Yael Averbuch (Goteborg, Sweden), Morgan Brian (Virginia), Lauren Cheney (FC Kansas City), Tobin Heath (Portland Thorns FC), Carli Lloyd (Western NY Flash), Kristie Mewis (FC Kansas City), Heather O'Reilly (Boston Breakers), Megan Rapinoe (Lyon, France; Seattle Reign)
