I DON'T GET THESE EAGLES POLLS SOMETIMES

Posted June 25, 2013

TODAY'S question on the Eagle's website:

What Is Offense's Personality?

@ Run first, pass second

@ It will vary week to week

@ Depends on QB play

@ Remains to be defined

@ Short passing game dominate

So far the voting looks like this.

Remains to be defined   30.99%..

Run first, pass second   22.52%.

It will vary week to week   19.63%.

Depends on QB play   19.42%.

Short passing game dominates   7.44%.

Seems silly to ask fans such a question knowing full well that we have no hard information to go on. We have no QB. We've been told last years WR's may not fit the scheme, (although the team is NOW negotiating how much EXTRA money to throw at one of them). And we've even had the Offensive Line shuffled on one side.

Look I understand that they want to keep the fanbase engaged; but if they REALLY want us raring to go, they should feed us something to fuel that energy.

  • So NOBODY wants to talk Eagles?

  • Looking at the poll results earlier 50 percent of voters were still waiting to see how things shake out.

At this point the results look like this:

    Remains to be defined 33.17%

    Run first, pass second 22.2%

It will vary week to week 18.83%

    Depends on QB play 18.59%

    Short passing game dominates 7.21%

That's up to 52 percent scratching our heads. That's what happens when you keep a fanbase in the dark.
  • Most polls are a bit foolish Flip, they generally either ask questions that there is either no answer for...or, the answer is just someone's opinion. In any event it's especially worthless when a team is under a brand new head coach who has to install an entirely new system. All any fan can do is take a wait and see approach. It doesn't help any when you don't even know who your starting QB is going to be either. But I suppose Kelly has to keep his cards close to his chest for now.
  • It's a little odd that there's a poll asking what the Offense will be like as well as an article asking how involved the TE's be. These are QUESTIONS! Why are WE being asked QUESTIONS?

I guess Spuds come to us, because he's also out of the loop.
