Basically what this whole press conference is boiling down to, is Arod is blaming his steroid use on being young and ignorant.I'm not sure how much I buy that. He was 24 or 25 when he started in 2001. As I write this, I am 23 and I know taking random (and I think the press conference is making it clear that the drug was fairly random) drugs is stupid. Of course, I can't pretend to know the pressure that Rodriguez had on him as a man with a $252M contract and largely heralded as the best player in the game.Regardless, I will mostly take what he is saying at face value. He clearly wouldn't be doing this press conference or admitting to anything if he wasn't caught, but other players have been caught too and he, aside from Pettitte (and even for Pettitte, it took a bit more digging before everything fully came to light), is the only player to speak pretty candidly about his use...even if what he has to say is a bit guarded and round about.Basically I stand by my ori...
