Fumbles, sacks that cause fumbles and interceptions in the preseason has left Browns fans hoping once Trent Richardson the Browns number one draft choice becomes healthy enough to start in the NFL that he is a natural. The fans haven’t had a chance to see what this powerful runner can do on the NFL level due to him missing the preseason with a knee that needed an extra repair. One thing the fans are hoping is that Richardson has the ability to help pick up the blitz and keep the opposing teams defense off rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden. The Browns offensive line has tried to do the job, in Fridays preseason game against the Eagles their number 2 ranked defense did a pretty good job roughing Weeden up causing 2 turnovers that led to points for Philadelphia.
The good news for Cleveland fans coming out of Berea is the Browns are extremely hopeful Richardson will be ready for week 1. The bad news for Weeden and company as well as some fans is the Browns have to face the Eagles again...

Cleveland Browns cut nine players on Sunday. Some may surprise you.
On September 26th just days after their loss to the Eagles the Cleveland Browns made their first list of cuts including nine players. Many of which we did not expect to make the team, however there was one surprise on the list. WR Carlton Mitchell who has worked hard in Cleveland has been cut. I always found him (despite battling injuries) to be an excellent athlete who simply has...

Browns Preseason Game #3: Winners and Losers
Who caught your eye? Did someone stand out? Who blew it? That’s what were interested in this morning. Winners and losers.
Kind of the opposite of last week.
We could name an awful lot of losers from this past weekend. But let’s start with the positives-
WINNER: Josh Gordon. Three catches for 50 yards, and a highlight reel play over Nnamdi Asomugha. Well, highlight reel for the...
Browns Fan Claims He Was Ejected for Standing in Dawg Pound
After the Cleveland Browns scored a touchdown in their preseason game this past Friday, a Browns fan named Jim Becker claims that he was reprimanded for standing in celebration and subsequently removed from the stadium, ultimately subjected to the league’s new conduct policy.
Becker’s first-person account states that, with the Browns trailing the Philadelphia Eagles 24-3,...
Browns Make Next Wave of Cuts, Awarded Player
The Browns had to cut the roster down to 75 today. After yesterday’s cuts, which were offense heavy, we expected to see some defensive players let loose today.
The players asked to bring the playbook to the coach’s office were Marcus Benard, Auston English, and Antwuan Reed. Additionally, Chris Gocong and Emmanuel Acho were put on IR with Phil Taylor being placed on the PUP list...
Weeden sitting is the safe play, I guess
Pat Shurmur announced today that Brandon Weeden was going to sit out the fourth pre-season game this week. It has created debate all over sports talk radio and twitter as people try to figure out what their stance is on the topic. On the one hand, Brandon Weeden and the starting offense might want to have something in their memories that’s a bit more positive than what they did...
Browns' Weeden working on ball security
Browns rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden knows he needs to get a grip.
Weeden has already fumbled three times during the exhibition season, losing the ball twice and costing Cleveland points with his turnovers. In Friday's 27-10 loss to Philadelphia, Weeden fumbled twice in the first quarter. The first one wasn't his fault as his protection broke down on a botched screen...
Cleveland Brown’s Pat Shurmur: A tale of two coaches
Pat Shurmur walked into quite the situation when being hand-picked by team president Mike Holmgren to coach the Cleveland Browns prior to the 2011 season. Since their return to the NFL in 1999, the Browns have been through six head coaches in that 13 year time period with very little success. Every single move Shurmur made would be critiqued to an almost unnecessary degree by media...
Browns Joe Thomas & Pat Shurmur See strength Up front For Weeden’s Sake Lets Hope They Start Showing The Rest Of Us
Both Joe Thomas and head coach Pat Shurmur are insisting the Cleveland Browns offensive line is going to be good this season. They both see this as being the teams strength coming into the season. I wonder what they are seeing that the rest of us missed last Friday night? The Eagles were able to walk through the holes in the O-line to get to Brandon Weeden, forcing him to fumble...
Browns Q.B. Colt McCoy Gets Start Against Bears Weeden Won’t Play
Browns quarterback Cot McCoy will start Thursday night when the Browns take on the Chicago Bears, Brandon Weeden will not play. Just recently Pat Shurmur said he has a lot of confidence in McCoy, you just have to wonder if the Cleveland Browns have wondered if they named Brandon Weeden the Browns starting quarterback prematurely. McCoy has had better than Weeden throughout the preseason...
Browns Waive DE Marcus Benard, Put NT Phil Taylor On PUP List
Marcus Benards misfortune on and off the field continued Monday as the Browns placed him on the waived/injured list.
The defensive lineman, who suffered a dislocated left elbow on Friday and sustained multiple injuries in a motorcycle accident last fall, was one of three players the Browns designated as waived/injured as they reduced their roster to 75 players.
Not surprisingly...

Scott Fujita isn't convinced he'll have to miss a single game this season.
Suspended three games by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for his alleged role in the New Orleans' bounty scandal, Fujita expressed confidence that he'll play in Cleveland's season opener on Sept. 9 against Philadelphia.

Why Brandon Weeden will be the best rookie quarterback in 2012
I have evaluated all the quarterback situations around the league and I have made my final conclusion. That is that, Brandon Weeden will perform better than any rookie quarterback in the NFL Draft. I know everyone is wondering about Robert Griffin III or Andrew Luck, but I think Weeden can be the best.
Weeden is far more mature then all of these quarterbacks, he understands the...
