I'm sorry but the Canadian skater didn't merit Bronze- should have gone to the Americans!!!!!! No pity medals should be given!!!!!!

I don't know what you think but me? I think the "pity medal" that was given to the Canadian was wrong! She made several blunders which even us novices could see and almost fell down...... I'm sorry her Mom died but this is after all the Olympics and she chose to participate.

I feel both of the Americans who skated, especially Nagasu should have received it instead. GOLD AND SILVER are fine but BRONZE, No Way!!!!!!

The Canadian skater skated flat and without personality, she was not very graceful and seemed "heavy, leaden and old", while Flatt, who needs seasoning but definitely has more "spark" and actually enjoys her sport given the crowd more..... Nagasu was lovely, lithe and graceful....definite medal category especially considering her age and she didn't make mistakes...HELLO???????

Anyone else feel this way? Medals are based on merit and not emotional condition. Period. And no, being from the home team doesn't give you "brownie points" either (that's something else I've seen throughout the Olympics, what's up with that?)- this is supposed to be IMPARTIAL, doesn't anyone know what that means?

I also feel the Russian (yes, the jerk) didn't deserve anything, if this is based on merit since he didn't skate really well at all. He should watch the replay so he can see himself stumbling on his spins and jumps..... another case of entitlement.... And by the way, I think Johnnie Weir was not considered due to his sexuality (whatever that is... who cares?) He should have been at the podium too.....
