MLB All-Star voting ended last night at 11:59 p.m. The rosters are set to be announced on Saturday. Indians fight through bullpen blowup to beat Tigers

CLEVELAND -- Sometimes wins seem more relief than rejuvenating.Which is the way it seemed Sunday in the third of the four-game series with Detroit, as the Indians won 9-6 -- but only after the bullpen blew a 6-1 lead in the seventh and eighth. That, manager Terry Francona said, would have been a tough one, to go home today with a loss.Because until the seventh so much had gone right...

Orbiting Cleveland: Fixing the bullpen

When everything seems to be going right, it's almost inevitable that something will suddenly go wrong. Just ask the Cleveland Indians. The Tribe was riding high this week as the team was fresh off a four-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox and had reclaimed sole possession of the top spot in the American League Central. The Indians had an opportunity to build an even more sizeable...

Player of the Game: Torii Hunter (3-for-5) with a double, triple, homer, and 3 RBI The Leadoff Still believe Tribe Town? Awesome Amazingness? More like Abominable Awfulness. A four run third inning and a three run fourth was more than enough runs for the surging Detroit offense as they took down the Indians 9-4 on Saturday. Carrasco’s struggles continue Well, at least he didn’t...

Disorganized Crime: The Malfunction of the Bullpen Mafia

The Indians bullpen has been it's greatest asset for at least the last three seasons and for most of the years since 2005.
