Curt Cavin of the IndyStar broke the news today that Graham Rahal would be leaving Chip Ganassi Racing at the end of the season to pursue other opportunities in the series. By doing this, Rahal officially got Silly Season started for the Izod IndyCar Series. Speculation already has begun on where Rahal would end up next year as he brings his sponsor Service Central with him.
I personally think he will end up back at his dad's team, Rahal/Letterman/Lanigan Racing. The team has a second car and wanted to run it all year, but didn't have the funding. Rahal brings a sponsor and his dad's team has been one of the contenders all season with Takuma Sato being one lap away from winning the Indianapolis 500.
With the vacant Ganassi seat, many drivers are rumored to be going there as well. Free agents like Ryan Briscoe, Oriol Servia, or Sebastien Bourdais have come up in the conversation for that vacant seat. With that being said about those drivers, that means rides at Penske, ...
