Internal reinforcements - would they be enough?

The talk coming from the Rangers the past few days has suggested that, given environmental factors, the club is likely to look internally for roster help. In theory, one of the primary benefits of having a top farm system is that you may be able to actually find immediate help on your farm system. Looking back at many successful teams, those with good farm systems often bolstered their runs by looking internally.
