WNZ - WrestleNewz.com:
WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No will face Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston for the tag team titles at WrestleMania 29, but is this a good decision by the company?
Some fans may have been expecting Kane and Daniel Bryan to face one another at the show of shows, but WWE ultimately decided to keep the team together for right now. With the current feud involving Ziggler, Langston and A.J. Lee, fans may be more satisfied than they originally were expecting.
On the March 11th edition of Raw, Dolph Ziggler defeated Daniel Bryan in a well-wrestled match from two of the more popular superstars in WWE. Following the match, Big E Langston continued the attack on Bryan. On the March 15th edition of Smackdown, Kane lost to Ziggler and also suffered an attack by Big E Langston. While some may not think that this is the right choice, it is not a bad idea.
Many WWE fans are expecting Ziggler to cash in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 29, but putting him in a match for a championship causes people to wonder what exactly WWE is doing with him. Ziggler could still cash in his briefcase and become World Heavyweight Champion, but I don’t see any problem with him becoming a tag team champion as well. Just because he challenges for the tag team titles doesn’t mean he will necessarily win, but if he does, it wouldn’t be the worst decision.
Big E Langston has yet to have his first match since being promoted to the main roster of WWE. He defeated Seth Rollins to win the NXT Championship, but began appearing on WWE TV alongside Ziggler and A.J. Lee shortly after the win. It seems like a great idea to have his first match be a tag team title match at WrestleMania. In fact, it makes Langston quite lucky and shows WWE thinks highly of him. Langston has one of the best workers in Ziggler on his side to help make the match look the best it can against two other great superstars in Kane and Daniel Bryan. Langston’s first match would be for a title and at the biggest show of the year.
If Ziggler and Langston weren’t challenging Team Hell No for the tag team titles at WrestleMania 29, then who would be?
There are definitely other options. The Prime Time Players and Team Rhodes Scholars are the top heel tag teams right now. However, WWE could also choose to put all three teams, along with Brodus Clay and Tensai in a fatal four way match. Regardless, Team Hell No has already defeated both heel tag teams on numerous occasions. Replacing this option with Ziggler and Langston is a much more intriguing and interesting situation.
While there are other options, Ziggler and Langston against Team Hell No is a suitable match for WrestleMania 29. The match raises questions about Ziggler and his briefcase situation, Langston finally gets his first official match in WWE and Team Hell No gets new challengers that they have never faced before. All in all, WWE will be providing fans with a great tag team title match on April 7th in New Jersey.
