     Jason Williams was released on Wednesday, January 26th by the Orlando Magic. When you take a look at their roster, you will notice how it has become extremely lopsided ever since the trades where they brought in Jason Richardson and Gilbert Arenas. In these trades, they gave away Marcin Gortat, Rashard Lewis, Vince Carter, and Mickael Pietrus in exchange for a small forward, a shooting guard, and a point guard. The losses of big men like Gortat and Lewis have made the Magic extremely thin down low, forcing Brandon Bass and Ryan Anderson to see more minutes and have an expanded role. The addition of Gilbert Arenas gave the Magic 4 point guards on their roster – the other three were Jameer Nelson, Chris Duhon, and Jason Williams.       Earlier in the season it was rumored that the Magic were interested in trading Chris Duhon to the Knicks in exchange for Ronny Turiaf, a deal that would solve the problems of too many point guards and too few big men for Orlando.
